Creative Restoration Poem by Theresa Ann Moore

Creative Restoration

n these days of frugality
I've seen a few new trends...
Making a turn in front of me
was a car with novel mends

Duct tape held the bumper
to the damaged frame...
also assisted a front beam
by steading a direct aim

As the modestly repaired vehicle
passed by… my eyes observed
an antenna with restorative powers;
a wire coat hanger uniquely curved

To ingenuity on a shoestring I say
bravo to you… your contraption
looks incredibly sad… yet operational
despite being a huge distraction
