Cries From A Mortal Being Poem by John Defiant

Cries From A Mortal Being

Rating: 4.5

I can feel my mind being Lost in thoughts..
The vagueness of uncertainty comes with force..
I feel broken, twisted, churned and bruised..
My spirit walks a different path from the ones I choose..
This body is utterly empty, lacking soul..
Enthusiasm for hope is really backing slow..
I need strength, my soul is weak and frail..
Now all I do is reminisce when I was fit and Hale..
Deep down in my subconscious, I know these are illusions..
I only pray for Grace and divine intuition..
Lord take my hand and wipe off my tears..
Feed me with confidence, so I can fight off my fears..
Because with courage in you, I can beat my chest..
That even when times are tough, I'd live my best..
