Crossing To Europe Through Morocco - Poem by Joseph Oladehinde Ibikunle

Crossing to Europe through Morocco,
We ambulate northward.
We are the ambitious cowards
Who cower from Afric’s third world syndromes.

Crossing to Europe through Morocco,
We embrace our perils with determination.
We meet death with songs to the siroccos
And the Mediterranean sea does the funerals.

Form: Ekphrastic
