Cruelties Committed Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Cruelties Committed

Respecting the lives of all,
Born blessed to have the right...
To be human beings.
Representatives of humanity.
Will begin the start,
To put an end to a tragedy.

No one should believe,
In these days of changes being made.
That their stubbornness of pettiness kept,
Gives them unconscious permission...
To do to others as they please.
Automatically immunes them,
From the severity of grief to feel.

There are no scientists in existence.
That have acquired,
This kind of notable expertise.
In laboratories anywhere prepared,
To release this publicly to announce.
Nor could it be said,
They are near a creation that relieves...
An unstoppable pain.
Remaining to sustain maintained.
As if a gift to receive.
For the wicked evil doers,
And their efforts kept endeavored.
Accomplished successfully.
Cruelties committed.
Since seldom to go ignored,
Are such activities done to overlook them.

"And...
To no one's surprise,
Our final award goes to...
All supporters of deception and decadence.
Come up to centerstage, please.
Supporters of deception and decadence.
Please stand to at least be acknowledged.
Where are you.
No need to leave behind your pretensions.
Come forward to receive for you what is due.
We have spent too much time,
Awaiting for this moment to arrive."
