Crusade Of Marandi Brothers Poem by Jinnuraine Jaigirdar

Crusade Of Marandi Brothers

Abhi and Rabinath Marandi of Nimghutu, indigenous peasant brothers,
Their childhood dream was to conquest a new world,
To cultivate their own land, a huge land for crops,
An unbroken sky of just paddy of golden sheaf.

The life of Marandi, full of sorrow and grief.
Wanted green wavy paddy field of joy & happiness,
The tide of Padma-Jamuna flowing in hope;
Assurance in Store full of rice paddy.

Once Marandi saw, the blue line on the rice husk of happiness, the burning sun,
Rough drought reports poisonous breath,
The defeat of the Marandis,
The dream of survival of the sky surges, destruction!

The paddy of Marandi was sold to moneylenders at a low price.
Hope! Golden paddy field will bring more hope and reassurance,
But hostile environment,
No water in the land, sheaf of paddy is coming out in a small band;
At that time the soil burst open, Paddy life became unstable, No alternative to water.

Marandi's went in search of deep tube well!
'You won't get water', said the leader of brutal power,
'If we don't get water, will die of poison, ' Marandis' mourn! .
The brutal Power said, 'If you come after drinking poison, then I will give you water in loan.'
Hoping to borrow in sorrow! Alas!
Standing in the paddy field, pot in hand full poison in ransom!
Marandi brothers drank poison, the last in breath! in Golden Sheaf!

The water came, life didn't return to Marandi,
Paddy fields remain standing in the mortal boast of destruction, revolution, rebellion!
Uttering Socrates' last conversation, 'You to live, I to die, Which is better only God knows'.
Drought wakes up the soil, says, give water! in the final tragedy of Drama,
A new command, Give life! Otherwise give poison to the killer in hand, be destroyed, cruel killer betrayed,
Otherwise, Hemlock will kill one sixty million souls in next crusade.
