Crushed To Death Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Crushed To Death

It can be hidden.
Denied to go ignored.
Ostracized.
Treated as if,
A diseasing leprosy.
And left abandoned.
Creating more to fear,
Should anyone hear...
Or dare to go near it.

Truth today,
Has become...
The one thing no one,
Wishes to be suspected to spread.
That threatens to contaminate,
Those begging it stays away.

Leaving them to remain,
Distant and professionally examined.
With results that proves them to be,
Neither affected nor an unknown carrier...
Of its effects.

Truth announced.
And declared to still exist these days,
Can cause people losing their lives.
Crushed to death,
By others creating a stampede.
Rushing away,
From wherever they've heard it spoken.

"Why am I being arrested for inciting a riot?
I am the minister of this church.
Not a corrupted thief, lawyer OR politician."

-Times have changed.
We are only doing our duty.
And what is best for the country.-
