Cry The Pillow Dry Poem by Lu Vernezze

Cry The Pillow Dry

Rating: 5.0

I missed you that summer, when you went away. An I've missed you every season
and still do to this day. I still can't believe it. I thought you would have stayed. I just want to know why? Every night I still cry, I cry the pillow dry.

It was a turn up for the books, when you walked into my life. I thought that was it. I thought you'd make me your wife. I've never felt love so real and so pure. Il never feel
that way again, I'd never felt it before. Obviously you never felt the same. If only we
could give us another try? Every night I still cry, I cry the pillow dry.

These words are not seeking for your sympathy. Not that you'll ever read them. You ran away, never to return. You couldn't even leave me a letter or drop me a line. I'm not
bitter, no I'm not bitter, it's fine. I would just care to know why? Every night I still cry, I cry the pillow dry.

For all I know now your living down in Timbuktu, you have a boat for the Nile. You stole
a camel from the zoo. You probably happily married with a wife a kid. I bet you've forgot my existence. But you'd lie that you did. And yet my love for you is still as high as the sky. Just have the decency to answer the question why? Every night i still cry, I cry the pillow dry, I cry the pillow dry.
