Crying The Blues Poem by Joseph T. Renaldi

Crying The Blues

Rating: 5.0

Don't cry the blues when things go awry
And you are laden with teardrops of despair?
Don't whine and constantly make excuses,
Just knit your brow and say a prayer?

Into your life will come many complex things
That will certainly interfere with your routine.
The events and results you did not plan on
Will by chance enter your life unforeseen.

Don't cry on somebody else's shoulder?
Lift your head - remember the good you had.
Things won't always go the way you expected,
Look at the bright side of life - not the sad.

Surely, there will be dark and dreary moments,
But your faith and courage will provide the clues
If only you are willing to face the realities of life.
Don't feel sorry for yourself and cry the blues?
