Daddy and his way
See wise man with white hair
-my father appears in mirror
-have loved, love, forever
-to hear so listen, am ear.
He never advises directly
-always some story, history
-that he leaves for his heirs:
- "Take your share…"
Must have faced somebody
-one has done or has said…
-if not has heard or read.
He therefore found me set:
- "People of Esfahan rejected,
-to follow leadership of Shiites,
-but one man, a single lonely man,
-came, settled in town, changed…"
Daddy was a great narrator
-regardless of how learned
-gave away in manner
-that went into our ears
-as goes into cotton a needle.
"He went to grocer to purchase
-some dairy product like yoghurt;
-grocer said has cheese and butter,
-not yoghurt…"
Dad waited, looked at me, studied
-in my eyes, reactions, found me set
-so, went on: "Man spoke of yoghurt,
-its enzyme and effects in our life,
-digestion, intestine…"
The man goes everyday
-and sort of gives lecture
-on items that he wants,
-on fruits, produce and crops.
Finally, the seller sends the word
-the new citizen turns famous
-a stool is brought, he climbs
-he teaches the people every-day.
Questioning is normal for mankind
-someone asks: "Sir, please, tell us why
-you know these, where from? "
This was what he had long planned for
- (changing the peoples' thoughts,)
-he had reached and achieved, time was ripe
-had to give his best shot:
- "I know these from the…"
Then counted few names of Imams
-of Shiites, children of Zahra…
Esfahan became a strong grip for
-followers and became capital
-for years and history proves that.
Dad knew I knew history
-but not his and his side.
When ended our shared-time
-I smiled:
- "I did learn, and dad gained,
-a win-win for both sides…"
He had meant to teach me:
- "Be patient, use wisdom.
-Knowledge solves problems."
He taught me to be right
- "Bring love, replace hate."
The man he referred to
- (Preacher, has shrine
-in same town, Esfahan
- "Sahib-Ibn-Obbad")
