Damaged - Poem by Lynzi Berner

So this is how
you want it

The things you tell
yourself at night

Well I wont play
this game

Wont fit this role

Your little liar
Your fatal rose

You play
the victim
of imagined crimes

Showing me
the tattoo of a cut
on your heart

Open your eyes
and focus

Just because you
fake a pain
you can't feel

Doesn't give you
the right
to amuse yourself
with deadly games

And as twisted
as I know you can be
I still love you

But I never pretended
I wasn't damaged
