Dancing The Slow Dance Poem by Deepak Manchanda of Delhi

Dancing The Slow Dance

Foot tap tapping gently
Side step, forward step, shuffle
Swaying, a little this way and that
Hands rolling forward and back
Dancing the slow dance
Smiling a naughty kind of smile
Sharing a chuckle equally
With young and old

Noki HDS uncle Mausa ji
Lightly stepping across the celestial divide
Beaming joyousness and warmth
An everlasting bridge across our minds
And the eternally abiding values
Of the great Four Way Test.

Continue to dance
The slow dance
Dear Noki HDS uncle.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
This poem was dedicated to my 90 year old Noki-HDS-Mausa (Uncle)who passed away peacefully and stepped into the "other world" with a spring in his step and a chuckle in his heart. He was a noted Rotarian and believed strongly in the fitness of their Four Way Test.
