Dancing With The Devil Poem by michael Smajda

Dancing With The Devil

I was dancing with the devil
Last Saturday night.
She was dressed like an angel,
So, she gave me no fright.
She said, 'Let's leave together.
I know a place where we can go.
And spend all night romancing
And no one would know.'

She was truly a beauty.
Her lips I wanted to kiss.
A night of all night loving
Was, too, much to resist.
When I awoke in the morning,
Whoever she was, was gone.
I realized that very moment
I was just another 'john'.

Yes, I danced with the devil,
Oh, last Saturday eve.
She made a foolish sinner of me.
How could I be so naive.
