Darfur Crisis Poem by Lubinda Lubinda

Darfur Crisis

Cry my beloved country
your wounds are bleeding
scars of a senseless war
why must you persist
in the hopeless teaching
which states that:
'Before there can be peace;
there has to be war! '
I long for the day
When you shall unclench
your fist and once again
raise the banner of peace
But for now, I'll weep for my beloved…
