Dark Beauty Poem by YasminAj Sesinyi

Dark Beauty

Beauty is not lacking melanin to look brighter, being light-skinned but dark inside is not pretty. There is dark beauty, real beaty, beautiful beauty, and that is found in you black girl. African girl you're beautiful, your curled black hair is your identity, there is no need for extensions. Your brown smooth face with a fatter nose says volumes about your dignity. You are an angel. Dont let them steal your mind. Your fallen dark breasts resembles quality. Girl, you are beautiful.. Let your swaying hips scream as you put on that smile, walk with pride and raise your head up high, you are one of your kind. Dont let magazine girls corrupt your mind, your big butt is your amazing grace, do not be intimidated by fake eyelashes and pierced tongues, you're beautiful, just the way you are. African girl stand tall, they say beauty is within, but yours is outside as well.. <3
