Dark Corners Poem by Linda Barnes

Dark Corners

I have a place
Separated from all
Secluded from light
Cold and dark

Therein lies comfort
From sorrow and pain
Sheltered from others'
Infiltrating gaze

Stricken by panic
I must disappear
Going to that place
Where I fight my fear

I must seek to revisit
This place at times
Removed from society
Dark corners, in my mind
