Dark Hope - Poem by uche peter umez

An elf stokes up the ashes of hope
Within my gaunt breast ––
Even in the crushing waters
Of poverty
That engulfs my land
That chokes the troubled millions
And me.

    who can live withotu hope?
this poem clearly shows that great feeling
and you've done a wonderful job
    presenting all aspects of hope
including that which would crush it
