Even after all this time
I'll steal light from the sun
To light your soul
And pathway to the universe

Meanwhile
I was in the darkness
Shivering in my shell
RESERVED
Giving my body to you unwelcoming
Looking for a way to release
ESCAPE
And you didn't notice
Not even a blink of an eye

Makes me wonder
Would you steal light from something
Knowing you can burn and crumble to pieces
For my satisfaction
Or would you look for an escape route
With shortcuts to the stars
Without me?
