Shattered Dreams By Darien Poem by Darien Trask

Shattered Dreams By Darien

I called on you when i needed help
You looked at your phone and stared
You stared
Like it was a roach on a wall
I came to you asking you for help
And you looked at your phone as an intersection
You didn't know which way to turn
So instead of making a decision
You stared at your phone
As i cried out loud
Calling out for you
Pleading for you
Down on my knees
Begging for you
You stared at me making a fool of myself
How dumb could i be to come to you for help
When all you saw me as a shattered glass
A shattered glass
Millions of broken pieces
Unable to be fixed
The glass was broken enough to where it couldn't be repaired
All the pain and sorrows the glass experienced
And somehow u saw me as a project
That didn't need to be finished
I needed your help
Crying out for you
And all you saw me as
A broken glass with no meaning
A broken glass that couldn't turn into a glass house
Wow!
