Hole In The Wall By Darien Poem by Darien Trask

Hole In The Wall By Darien

Have you ever felt dead
On the inside?
Just empty
Like nothing was there
If there was a hole in the wall
You would be that dark, empty
Hollow hole
Just sitting there

Have u ever been to a party
And felt alone
While watching every one else
Dance and pretend everything is alright
And you're just sitting there
Because
YOU JUST CAN'T FAKE IT ANYMORE
You feel alone in a crowded room
Maybe
Because there's a demon bugging at you
Every second
Or maybe
You're just simply not INTERESTED
In the atmosphere
But you try and dance
And take a drink
Hoping this feeling will vanish
Into thin air
And then you realize
IT'S ALL IN YOUR HEAD
ITS EMBEDDED INTO YOUR BRAIN
TO FEEL DOWN
THEN YOU START TO SUPPRESS
YOUR FEELINGS
and keep everything bottled up
Like a cork on a wine bottle
THAT JUST WON'T BUDGE!
No matter how hard people try
You wall is built
And it's not coming down
NO TIME SOON!

You know it's all in your head
But with everything you've experienced
It's hard to say
I'm okay
I'm alright
I'm a damaged seed that's trying to grow
Or let's say
Blossom into a beautiful flower
Even though
You are one diamond
Everyone is trying to obtain
Everyone is trying to scrap up
CHANGE
To afford you

But guess what?

You are still that hole in the wall
With no meaning
With no definition
Just a hole in the wall
Even though you can be repaired

You rather be
THE HOLE IN THE WALL!

-Depression is real
-Sadness is real

BUT
-Happiness is forever
-Once you find your happy place, stay there and never let someone or something move you out of that place, it's rent free so why move to a place that will only make you feel diminished?
