Dark Shadows
Yes, dark shadows,
we must soon leave you behind!
Yet alas, we chase your fleeting steps,
drawn to the mystery you conceal,
only to sink into your arms,
entwined in restless rest,
where dreams are heavy.
Like the Phoenician's wake,
we rise anew, alive again.
Through distant, boundless space,
we seek the golden ray of the sun,
that vanished into night's abyss,
'Return, return! ' we cry,
our voices trembling with hope.
And to our joy, it answers—
a light that shatters the shadows,
filling the void they once occupied—
a sorrow we have mourned too long,
O radiant sun!
How the embrace of light rekindles life!
Its warmth turns despair to bloom,
Its glow whispers truths untold.
It bestows on us Hallowed pleasure,
Its touch reveals our essence—
dissolving the veils of night.
Now I say to the dark shadows:
Begone! Begone!
Your reign has ended;
your whispers are silenced.
O light that graces my life, stay with me—
flood my soul with your brilliance.
I'll breathe in the essence you respire,
the sacred air that ignites the spirit.
Illuminate the corners of my heart,
where doubt once lingered.
Guide me beyond fear's grip,
to the horizon of infinite grace.
Here, I stand reborn,
anew in the glow of your truth—
a pilgrim who has found home,
in the light everlasting.
