Darkness Poem by Alicia Meyers

Darkness falls across the land,
Everyone is scared,
So they all take each others hand,
And hopes that they make it through.
From all their worst darkest fears,
Kills them from their nightmares,
And has their cheeks fill up with tears,
So the darkness knows who is scared.
Fear is what he feeds on,
He kills by fear and eats the humans,
As everything goes wrong,
No human has made it out of the darkness.
But one strong knight came to save the day,
He tried as hard as he could to kill the darkness,
Or make him go away,
And leave forever.
He finally killed the darkness with the light,
And this man became a hero,
Because the darkness comes at night,
And only eats humans fears.
