David Dabydeen's Slave Song: Pros & Cons Of Thinking

Slave Song,
What is it in David Dabydeen's
Slave Song,
Is it about the salves,
Tea planters, indentured labourers,
Bonded labourers, black workers,
The Indian space
Or the Caribbean space
Or about how far Indian are those who live it abroad?

But under the shadow of the Lincoln's statue,
How to take to protests,
Violent protests,
Vandalism and rowdy hooliganism,
How should it be civil rights movement
And its course,
How can we talk of dismantling and dislodging it all
Whatever good it is in society
By giving the anti-thesis?
