Dawn Poem by Elizabeth Castleberry

Dawn

The room completely empty
My heart completely full
Like swimming in the sea
I finally feel free

I think of all that's past
As I take my leave
The shadow that I've cast
The future seems so vast

I can never forget
All the friends I love
We just seem to fit
They saved me from my pit

I treasure what's gone
But now I can start again
As fresh as a fawn
I'm ready for a new dawn

A pleasant three rhyming poem, very well constructed and a pleasure to read. Love Ernestine XXX
