Dawn Of My Horror Filled Nightmare Poem by Chris Stennett

Dawn Of My Horror Filled Nightmare

I opened my eyes in a darkened red void
To see an eerie spirit approaching me ahead
With its menacing smile, and sinister aura
Where I lay paralyzed, and surrounded by the dead

The endless amount of fear I began to feel
Gave me the ability to stand up and run
As its thunderous voice constantly roars:
'The terror you feel boy, has only begun! '

It finally succeeds with backing me in a corner
To take devouring life to the very extreme
And the sight of nowhere for me to run or hide
Caused me to let out a horrifying scream

I then wake up and breathe a sigh of relief
After learning that my life is still my own
And my horror filled nightmare which I have awoken from
In the blink of an eye vanished, into the unknown
