Darkened Confinement Begets Craving Revenge Poem by Chris Stennett

Darkened Confinement Begets Craving Revenge

Rating: 5.0

I have been imprisoned my entire life
Inside an abyss of darkness and despair
With everlasting anger consuming me
And my soul slowly beginning to tear

But now I have finally broken free
With my heart and soul still intact
And my demons which I have now embraced
Gave birth to revenge I will soon exact

I have hunted down my enemies
Who are responsible for all my pain
And my anger, which has turned into rage
Will tell them their efforts were all in vain

Never again will they torment me
For they will now suffer and burn
They will tremble in terror at the sight of me
They will fade to black, and never return

COMMENTS OF THE POEM

Looking back at our enemies, within and without, straight in the eyes takes our life in an altogether different path.
