Day After. Poem by Tom Allport

Day After.

Not far from Knotty Ash jam butty mines
Doddy was born on a black pudding plantation
He was one of only three siblings
A happiness kid always full of imagination
In his later life he would often say 'How tickled I am'
He was the master of fun and laughter
What with him and his Diddy men stories
They would make you smile even the day after.
