Daydreams Poem by Dr Vidya Hariharan

Daydreams

A fragile web of golden dreams
brings us hope to ennui defeat.

Staring into space
We build our future
Brick by brick
We layer it in place.
Intricate designs and colours
Brighter than the rainbow
Give us the impetus
To live life to the fullest.
Let us not, then, laugh
When we see a child
Looking out the window
Dreaming dreams in peace.

The future he envisons
Is not the one we live.
