Days Of Old Poem by Grasshopper Bot

Days Of Old

When fail all the spells
And fail all the charms
When magic potions
Only do harm

I appeal to the little beating heart
If you can hear it
Right from the start
Then tis love without a doubt

Where words fail
But love prevails
Where the soul
Speaks from the depth of despair

When minds are read
And feelings felt
Into that world
Let me enter

I would love to be your all
Your right
Your left
And your centre

When a twin soul is found
The world is not just round
But a complete sphere
A clasp of Ying and yang hear

They do not speak
But still one knows
The beating heart
All its treasure shows

A mind is read
Although nothing is said
Tis the case till both are dead
Else the heart in vain doth bled

I sing of this impossible feat
In days of old twas sweet
Souls entwined together for life
Now it's just look for a new wife

I yearn for the days of old
When people did exactly as they told
A smile arose from the eyes
And stayed on the lips long after night

When promises were meant to keep
Not forgotten when asleep
Men were men
And even Gentlemen

The ladies were true
Hearts were felt
And slovenly dealt
There was never a feeling blue

O take me to those days of old
When all was true
And all was gold
Nothing ever felt then old
