Escape Poem by Grasshopper Bot

Escape

Rating: 5.0

It was an escape, the rings, the dress
The empty wordless caress
Do as you are bidden
Was a malady deeply ridden

Never thought I would find
Never even knew what was on my mind
But this time is a different escape
Each day I am in a new landscape

I reach for the stars
I wake with the larks
I crazily walk parks
I am treading on dangerous marks

Oh dear this is what poets once told
Just was never brave enough to be bold
I do not know what the future has in hold
Now when I am so very old

When we give ourself a release, when we unleash our soul, then perhaps we meet the true being within us. My words are feeble for this poetry. I found it mystical. (10+++) .

Agreed it is an escape. Escape from everything we see around us.
