Dead Floor Poem by ANJANDEV ROY

Dead Floor

They were dancing joyously on the dead floor,
It was ridiculous,
Nobody paid attention to them,
Of course it was very obvious.
They were afraid to dance on the living floor,
As they knew well that they would not succeed to perform on the lively and dazzling surface.
At first I was surprised to see them,
Soon I realized it was their natural instinct,
They could dance spontaneously only on the dead platform,
For their souls were dead and rotten.
