Dear Carolyn Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Dear Carolyn

Dear Carolyn

You met me in the park,
And approached, so I talked.

Do not use sweet tongue
Neither your bitter one.

Politely, with respect
We are too different
I do not like the church!

Equal are the faiths
I follow none of them…

Like to sing and fly, be free
Choose my perch on a tree…

Tell priests and mullahs to rabbis
"Go away, leave him alone…"

Torch in hand am searching
For Big Bang of being
Not via fallacy, Red Herring!

I ignore commandments
And all their ancestors…

Abraham and Moses
To David and Jesus
To Islam, and after
To me are problems
Not by their prophets
But by their followers.

You talk much, shut your mouth,
Let me use mind and heart.

So, please tell all monks
No matter where from
East or West, north to south:
To ride in chariots of their gods
Go away, leave me alone! "
