Dear God In Heaven Poem by Kevin John Racaza

Dear God In Heaven

Another day has passed
And another day will come.
Evey decision made
Has a consequence at stake.

My dear Lord, the Almighty God above,
Grateful I am for your kindness and love,
For your sweet cheers of hope and health,
For the family and friends - my wealth.

Forgive me for the shortcomings,
Vile thoughts, disobedience and lusty feelings.
Some were made with no intent and some by will,
But whatever it is, a sin makes a soul ill.

Guidance and protection, let them envelope us,
A family of stronghold that will longlast.
This night we may have a good rest,
Make tomorrow our life's best.

Rescue us from the temptation,
The evil and worldly ambitions.
Take away the doubts and fears
So we will have a strong faith to you - our gear.

This is my prayer in the late evening
To God who is watching us from heaven.
Through Jesus Christ my Lord and Savior's name,
Amen.
