Dear Heart Of Mine Poem by Edwina Reizer

Dear Heart Of Mine

Dear heart of mine
have you become like me?
Lost and forlorn in reverie?
Have you forgotten all the nights
when your rapid beats were felt?
I have not forgotten his tender touch
that made me want to melt.

Dear heart of mine
what's to become of you and I?
Now so somber,
before so high.
Is there a time in our future
where hope won't die?
You must help me to forget
and to say goodbye.

Dear heart, dear heart please try.
