Dear Hearts Poem by Joyce Hemsley

Dear Hearts

Red roses of summer gathered for his sweet
With gems of the fairest, his gift is complete.
Oh how he yearns for the love he needs so
The only 'dear heart' he wishes to know.

She speaks with softness and delicate smile
The picture he sees is of elegance and style.
Moving towards her, they sing joyously
Violins tell a story, a song ever to be.

Come has the good life each night and day
Silence is golden ~ few words can they say.
A fair queen he beholds from heaven above
Chaste as an angel, and pure as a dove.
