My tear-sparkled eyes release a drop.
I smile.
They said you would be so grotesque.
They said you would be so dark.
They said that you would drive me into
An uncomprehending dizziness,
Lead me through a dreary, dark tunnel.
They said, but scarcely did they know
For they have never seen you like I have.
Death, you are beautiful, you are bright.
Look, all the flurry of life, all those sparkling
Twinkling, blinding lights seem so dim
Now that you are here.
I am in my senses, there’s no incomprehension
And I can feel your embrace
Oh so warm! Oh so assuring!
I’ll walk with you far away, away from life.
Now that you have come, take me away.
A great start with a nice poem, sohini. You may like to read my poem, Love and Lust. Thanks
very nicely written. but i think you should think of more lively things. death means inexistence. we did not exist before we were born, and we will not after we will die. so, u see, in the ocean of inexistence, life is a mere ripple. enjoy it to the fullest. u won't have to yearn for the embrace of death. when time will come, it will find you.
sohini...this one is great too...death is scary if you are scared of it...thats when i guess you imagine the worst...love..nalini
