Ashish Ram Poems

One song can spark a moment,
One whisper can wake the dream.
One tree can start a forest,
One bird can herald spring.

It seems to be the hardest thing to do
When you asked me to forget you,
Honey! I got words very few.....
To tell you that i just cant stop loving you!

Walked to her room
The time was somewhere around noon
Had flowers in my hand
And my approach well-planned

He came in today, wearing wet shoes
Was talking of life, colours and different blues
We found him strange and didnt care
We thought, usual boring stuff, we usually hear

......With pain in his heart,
He decided to take the long way back.....
Hoping against hope that she wud call him back..
Alas, ther was no shout nor a call....

Tell me of a city not built by its own,
Tell me of a city, which can stand alone.
Talk of a place where the land is scarce
Where people will share more than their own fare.

Why do i feel now
That i'll never hear that voice again!
Why this thought crosses my mind
That maybe it was our last dance together!

A flood of memories rise in my head
As i sit back
Pulling myself away from the computer chair
Glancing out from my cubicle thru the window

It’s been a year since you died
Hurt is still there but the tears now have dried
When you were alive, I kept troubling you
You were honest and true but I had a different view

The day was fine and sunny
And there i was on my balcony
Smoking my favourite ciggy
As i listened to a symphony.

They were playing shopkeeper's game in my parking lot,
Decorated a little corner with little dolls, little kites, little toys,
And every little thing they got,
Making innocent moves, in a round circle they sat,

In the confines of cubicles by artificial light,

Every monday i used to accompany my friend for a temple visit
He used to go inside and on the staircase I used to sit
Never did I have faith in the sound of bells
And the fragnance of that in-cense stick

A person can make you feel high,
A person can make you feel low.
But only you can decide,
Which way you want to go.

As one more new year dawns
I make some wishes as i sit
Enjoying the first sunrise of the year on my lawn
I wish that there always be work for our hands to do

This evening someone again i missed,
tears of sorrow again i kissed...
It may be,
u will walk together again....

The Best Poem Of Ashish Ram

The Power Of One

One song can spark a moment,
One whisper can wake the dream.
One tree can start a forest,
One bird can herald spring.

One smile begins a friendship,
One moment can make one fall in luv.
One star can guide a ship at sea,
One word can frame the goal

One vote can change a nation,
One sunbeam lights a room
One candle wipes out darkness,
One laugh will conquer gloom.

One step must start each journey.
One word must start each prayer.
One hope will raise our spirits,
One touch can show you care.

One voice can speak with wisdom,
One heart can know what's true,
One life can make a difference,
You see, it's up to you!

I'm interested in setting your poem The Power of One for choral singers and am writing to be in contact for permission to use your words.

Would you allow me to use your poem " the power of one" in a choral speaking competition with my class?
