Debate On A Plate Poem by Stevie Taite

Debate On A Plate

Debate on a plate

For some there's no trying
the outré Hawaiian
They say that the combo
would cause them to vomit

Some yield and grapple
With ham and pineapple
But won't eat a bite till
they've picked the fruit off it

If you should asked
of an enthusiast
how such flavours could work
they are bound to berate

Yousure roused a fuss
Mr Panopoulos
Not before has a recipe
caused such debate
