Deceit Poem by Kassem Oude

Deceit

I thought in old say
As you sow you will reap
As long as you pray
In heaven you go deep

I sowed my best seeds
Grew them by bare hand
Fat of heart I did feed
Flood of sweat on their land

Till my hair became white
And my limbs became weak
Strong towers stood they right
Heavy fruits freshness leak

They showed me frowning face
Thorn forward creaking teeth
Though would not of their grace
Lying a smile I would greet.

The meanings of old sayings have changed in this deceitful world.
