Decent Days Poem by Barney Rooney

Decent Days

Rating: 5.0

there are days when enough seems enough
when the nervous ends let loose
softening the sinew and the skin
harsh heat ebbs out to leave the warmth within
duty takes its time but doesn't seem to steal
simple love extends the hand to tend
to ills a decent heart would heal
