Deciphering Love Poem by RoseAnn V. Shawiak

Deciphering Love

Glancing through leaves, water glistening,
falling over rocks, taking with it whatever
wants to float or roll along it's path.

Noting it's beauty as it enhances scenery all
around the lake, all eyes falling closed, gone
to sleep where waters weren't so deep.

Where love could at last be deciphered.

This is a beautiful poem, in fact, I would call it gorgeous because that word better identifies what makes it so appealing - the vivid images from nature that are intimately connected to emotional states. I'm not certain of what the poem means but I know what it does. It puts me in a frame of mind (and heart) in which I am ready for those thrilling and dismaying feelings of love. This poem also speaks to the one you wrote about the 19-year-old girl. And what is says to her can only be expressed in the words you have written. DECIPHERING is an excellent word choice - what we could not comprehend WE CAN NOW COMPREHEND!
