Deep Deep Waters Of Misery Poem by Dorsey Baker

Deep Deep Waters Of Misery

a creepy coldness
seeps in
where the warmth
of spring once was
hear old creaky bones
crying out
in pain
blood once boiling
now just
Luke warm
as the floor of time
as waves upon the shore
become angry and raging sea
your alert eyes
enlarge with
much fear
fragile with
much wear and tear
sinking deep deep
into the murky waters of misery
