I long to walk through olden days,
that time i loved in many ways.
When summers stretched eternally,
those woodland walks so young and free.
I long to hear your voice once more,
when things were like they were before.
Time just got in our way,
it brought me to this very day.
Now you are gone the past is too,
I long to have a talk with you.
Alas that's how the way life is,
it's not forever,
Nothing is.

Mrs. Davies, I want to tell you, that all of this longing that you feel, that you so wonderfully express in your poetry, is a misplaced longing. Deep down, inside of us all, we feel the longing to be comforted and to be loved. We need that.
So very beautifully penned! ! ! What a touching poem filled with dedicated love and sorrow! May God give you peace dear Mrs Davies. Thank you for blessing us with this lovely piece : )
