Deep Within
When there’s little there,
we search our souls for hidden peace,
in those silent places,
deep within. Where love
we’d put away from
our youth, hides.
Where warmth from those
who loved us,
who ever they were,
still burns hard.
That kindling of love
we used to start passions,
fired us up into adults,
ready to run the paths of this world,
whether curved or straight,
and rediscover us when
our doors became jarred.
Thank every cloud
that brushes your sky,
that you were chosen
to be loved,
I know I have been.
