Don'T Fall In Love Poem by Jerry Pike

Don'T Fall In Love

Don't fall in love with no one
for no one hurts like hell,
their touch is nonexistent
their aura blind as well.
Don't crave a voice from heaven,
with charms you cannot feel,
hold tight that image in your head
but bank on something real.

Don't drift that starry future
a beachland walk for surf,
stop idling over memories,
that never had a worth.
Don't waste the hours surmising,
what could have, should have been,
corrupt your mind in solid hope
the world has been a dream.

COMMENTS OF THE POEM

Pungent, potent, and powerful, I also enjoyed it, but then I'm a bit of a cynic when it comes to romantic love, so this works for me.
