Deep Within, Where Light Dwells Poem by Mohammad Younus

Deep Within, Where Light Dwells

Deep within, where Light dwells,
I find myself in my paradise lost;
A paradise of trees of knowledge,
And springs of wisdom!
Where my spirit dances,
Filled with ecstasy;
Listening to sweet music,
In divine symphony's embrace;
In this spiritual state,
I realise the peace of heart;
A brilliant state, light upon light!
Where enlightenment is attained,
And darkness takes flight;
From behind the veils of light,
The reality whispers to me;
I'm no more locked now,
In my undivine thoughts;
I am not now trapped in,
The snares of Satan;
Oh, the ecstasy of knowing,
What is my reality,
Releases me from,
The disillusionment of duality;
In this paradise regained,
I hear the echoes of Alastu birabikum;
Deep within, a flicker of divine light shines;
A fire of love burns in my heart,
That refuses to wane;
Thus, deep within my heart,
I find eternal bliss;
Far beyond these prison walls of nafs,
I find the world of freedom;
The shackles of nafs break and,
I embrace the true deen.
