Defending A Disease Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Defending A Disease

Defending a disease.
With it to welcome and empathize.
Prolonged is a cure to be found.
Announcements are made,
As to where to expect it next.
Many embrace the prospects of an epidemic.
Leaving an effective progression of it.
While mentalities sickened,
Seek ways...
Not to find a cure for their craze.
To end but extend it.
With noses and heads raised high.
Believing their contamination,
Is envied.
And wish to isolate themselves.
Within borders to prevent,
Those who have not proven to deserve...
Equal craze.
