Deliberately Choose Not To Write
spent three years absent from writing
from August 2017 until August 2020
with the exception of a single poem
in December 2017 5 in March 2018
plus a few I never bothered to finish
yet throughout that time lines themes
often fleet flashed through mind free
to breathe to dream poems never ends
even when poet chooses not
to let poems birth born fill pages
appear letter by letter on electronic screens
deliberately choose not
to write for three fill years
to prove I could to prove I should
could would have written hundreds
could would have written a few thousand
some written to wisely written to well
among the dross a few masterpieces
wisdom world insight dripping pieces
lost never read among massed poems
camouflage hidden among thousands hidden
is to complete for random search to random find
seekers of wisdom to life execute must search

Well for me it is hobby to write, It is never will I or won't I write today for me, but instead am I in the mood, do I have the time. Should or shouldn't don't even enter my mind. Sometimes I write 7 poem in one day, sometimes it is only one, sometimes I go weeks without writing. But never have I put limits on it either way. Interesting perspective, excellent poem.
