Deliverance From His Own Self Poem by Dr. Antony Theodore

Deliverance From His Own Self

Rating: 5.0

A mystic seeks no kind of mastery
except for the mastery of self.
He seeks no kind of knowledge
except for the intuitive knowledge of God
at the depths of his being.

All else is superfluous.
The life of prayer establishes
contact with the source of all life
and with the only source
of authentic peace.

The mystic yearns to be totally free
and to be totally free
he must be delivered from his own self.

A mystic seeks no kind of mastery except the mastery of self. This is the secret pronounced in all the religious and philosophical texts of this world. Most wonderfully worded, Tony.
