Dementia Ahead Poem by michael Smajda

Dementia Ahead

I once could walk
The straight and narrow.
Now, they wheelchair me
Like a one-winged sparrow.
I could readily store
Things I, then, could find.
As I keep aging,
I'm losing my mind.
