Demon Poem by April Jonees

Demon

A blade is all it takes,
To unleash your inner sin,
And let the darkness pour out,
From your snow white skin.

Dark red, just like rubies,
They glisten in the moonlight,
One by one, they fall to the floor,
And you forget your worries and strifes.

As it falls onto your fingers,
Dripping from your clutch,
Bit by bit the troubles fade away,
It doesn't take that much.

Then as they fall onto the floor,
An angel cries a tear,
A single tear of crimson blood,
As they back away in fear.

You dropp the blade and run,
How could you be so cruel?
Did you really think you killed yourself?
You are indeed a fool.

As you run, they slowly die,
Until they're fully dead,
Well done you, you killed your inner demon,
So why is it you fled?
